Senior PR Manager, London & Partners (Hybrid)

Lead London & Partners’ public relations strategy, shaping the city’s growth narrative across media and digital channels. Manage PR activity and provide direction to two PR Managers.

Description

  • Shape London’s growth narrative and establish London & Partners as a trusted authority on economic growth
  • Pursue communications opportunities across digital platforms, traditional media, in-person engagement, and Team London networks
  • Promote London’s priority growth sectors, including deep tech, quantum, AI, green innovation, the experience economy, and life sciences
  • Engage priority audiences such as investors, talent, event organisers, and visitors
  • Create compelling content and formats that strengthen engagement and support London’s economic growth
  • Contribute to efforts to attract foreign direct investment to London
  • Oversee London & Partners’ PR presence across key markets
  • Coordinate with agencies and freelancers when needed
  • Line-manage, guide, and support two PR Managers
  • Use audience insight, media monitoring, and data to develop London’s growth narrative
  • Spot emerging narratives and turn them into proactive communications opportunities
  • Address misinformation and disinformation that may influence perceptions of London
  • Reinforce London & Partners’ authority on London’s growth story
  • Contribute to broader reputation, issues, and crisis management work
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of PR & Communications, Head of London Brand Marketing, and Senior Communications Manager

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in business PR and communications, including oversight of external in-market support
  • Strong knowledge of business, technology, city promotion, and economic development
  • Ability to align communications work with organisational strategy
  • Working knowledge of research and insight methods
  • Ability to define SMART objectives
  • Ability to create plans covering objectives, strategy, channels, and tactics
  • Understanding of measurement and performance tracking
  • Ability to produce evaluation reports
  • Audience-focused approach to written, audio, and visual content
  • Clear and concise writing ability
  • Ability to produce effective, story-led media materials
  • Ability to write to briefs across varied formats
  • Understanding of print, broadcast, and online media
  • Ability to collaborate with media professionals and creators
  • Understanding of media prioritisation and audience targeting
  • Ability to operate an effective press office
  • Understanding of reputation, issues, and crisis management
  • Understanding of media event management
  • Ability to plan and deliver events on schedule and within budget
  • Ability to deliver internal and external presentations, briefings, and debriefings
  • Ability to delegate effectively and manage upwards
