Senior Implementation Engineer (Hybrid)

Lead complex, enterprise implementations of Clearwave’s patient-engagement platform for healthcare practices. Design integrations, resolve data issues, and guide clients through successful go-live.

Description

  • Deliver large and enterprise implementations from contract signature through go-live and transition to Support, often across multiple sites or specialties.
  • Plan scope, timelines, and resources while managing risks, dependencies, and escalations.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for client project teams and IT staff.
  • Lead discovery sessions covering scheduling, registration, and eligibility-verification workflows.
  • Translate current-state processes into future-state solutions on the Clearwave platform.
  • Define, document, and obtain approval for business and technical requirements.
  • Build and review complex configurations, SQL, data mappings, and integration logic.
  • Coordinate with client IT teams, practice-management system vendors, and EHR vendors on interfaces and data exchange.
  • Own testing plans, user acceptance testing, data validation, and go-live readiness.
  • Resolve complex technical issues during implementation and hypercare as the escalation point.
  • Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders ranging from front-desk leads to executives.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and trade-offs to clients, Clearwave leadership, and Customer Success.
  • Drive client satisfaction by handing off stable, thoroughly documented implementations to Support and Customer Success.
  • Mentor and train Implementation Engineers through configuration reviews, paired work, and onboarding.
  • Lead initiatives that improve implementation methods, tools, templates, and playbooks.
  • Share field insights with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap and reduce future implementation effort.
  • Maintain reusable project deliverables and documentation.
  • Support broader company initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in technical implementation, solutions engineering, or integration roles delivering enterprise software.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency.
  • Strong working knowledge of XML, JSON, and HTML.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs and data integrations.
  • Established proficiency with Git or another source-control tool.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder implementations for large customers through on-time go-live.
  • Ability to convert ambiguous business workflows into clear requirements and practical technical designs.
  • Exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or coaching teammates.
  • Strong ownership, sound judgment, and composure under pressure.
  • Healthcare technology experience is preferred, particularly with practice-management systems, EHRs, or patient-access workflows such as scheduling, registration, and eligibility.
  • Experience with HL7, FHIR, or X12 270/271 eligibility transactions is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and secure handling of protected health information is preferred.
  • Scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or a similar language is preferred.
  • Project management training or certification, such as PMP or Scrum, is preferred.
  • Preference for candidates working in the PCT, MT, or CST time zones.
