HR Systems Analyst (Workday) – Hybrid Canada

Support and improve Workday, Dayforce, and Paradox systems for IPEX’s thermoplastic piping business. The role focuses on HR data, integrations, testing, system administration, and technology enhancements.

Description

  • Provide primary support for Workday and other HR systems, resolving complex issues and advising HR teams, managers, and employees.
  • Administer HR technology platforms to maintain system reliability, security, functionality, and performance.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, coordinate resolutions, and work with internal specialists and vendors on escalated issues.
  • Support organizational management, position management, job requisitions, employee records, reporting, and other workforce transactions.
  • Review HR data quality, perform audits, resolve discrepancies, and strengthen data governance and system integrity.
  • Test releases, enhancements, integrations, and configuration updates through UAT and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition, and People Analytics to define requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Assess Workday capabilities and emerging HR technologies, identifying ways to simplify processes and improve the user experience.
  • Contribute to implementations, upgrades, integrations, deployment planning, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Create training resources, knowledge articles, process documentation, and standard operating procedures while supporting change initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, or enterprise applications.
  • Practical Workday experience is strongly preferred; Dayforce or Paradox experience is an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of HR operations, the employee lifecycle, and workforce data management.
  • Experience supporting implementations, integrations, testing, and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Background in gathering business requirements and improving processes.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Workday Pro certification and CHRP or CRHA designation are considered assets.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and automation.
  • Strong risk assessment and recommendation skills.
