HR Advisor - Leeds (Hybrid)

Provide employee relations guidance, HR advice, and project support for Farnell, Avnet’s global technology distribution business. This hybrid Leeds role supports teams across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries.

Description

  • Advise managers and HR Business Partners on employee relations issues while ensuring alignment with company policies and employment law
  • Contribute to organisational, people, policy, and process improvement work across HR
  • Coach managers through employee relations processes and activities
  • Oversee employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance matters, and absence concerns
  • Guide employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and effective practice
  • Keep case management records and supporting documentation complete and current
  • Contribute to HR projects and business initiatives with colleagues across the wider HR team
  • Help develop and continuously improve HR processes and working practices
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders throughout the organisation
  • Travel within the UK occasionally when required

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of UK employment law, especially employee relations
  • Track record of managing employee relations cases from consultation through resolution
  • Capacity to work autonomously using sound judgement and discretion
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proactive, service-oriented approach to HR support
  • Familiarity with HR or case management systems is advantageous
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent practical HR experience is advantageous
