Game Designer, Casual Puzzle Games (Turkey, Remote)

Design gameplay mechanics, levels, and monetization for Lion Studios’ casual puzzle titles. Work with Turkish external studios on development and data-led optimization.

Description

  • Create engaging core gameplay loops, player experiences, and monetization strategies
  • Work with external studios in Turkey across the game development pipeline, from early concepts through playable builds
  • Develop mechanics that deepen progression while aligning with the game’s established design direction
  • Analyze player data, identify trends, and optimize level funnels for retention and monetization
  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to keep design aligned with product objectives
  • Track leading games to assess market trends and identify useful design insights

Requirements

  • Bring at least three years of experience in game design or a related discipline
  • Have professional game design experience spanning mechanics, systems, progression, and player experience
  • Use player data and insights to diagnose design issues and propose solutions
  • Demonstrate strong creative and problem-solving abilities
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to support the product vision
  • Apply advanced analytical skills to recognize patterns and trends
  • Have experience balancing levels and optimizing gameplay funnels
  • Speak Turkish fluently and communicate effectively with Turkish-speaking studio teams
  • Publisher-side puzzle game design experience is a strong advantage
  • Have experience with live operations, A/B testing, or data-informed iteration
  • Be familiar with Figma or comparable visual collaboration tools for mockups
  • Use AI tools proficiently to create early prototypes and have a record of work on successful hypercasual, casual, or AAA titles
