Events Coordinator, Revenue (Hybrid) — The Globe and Mail

Coordinate conferences, summits, awards, and client events for The Globe and Mail. Oversee logistics, speakers, sponsors, attendees, vendors, and post-event analysis across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.

Description

  • Coordinate planning and delivery for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events
  • Maintain project plans, production calendars, timelines, and deliverables
  • Oversee venues, catering, audiovisual services, signage, transportation, accommodations, and suppliers
  • Manage speaker communications, briefing documents, schedules, agendas, and briefing calls
  • Administer attendee registration workflows and event platforms
  • Track registrations and attendance while answering attendee questions
  • Assist VIP guests and arrange special accommodations
  • Monitor sponsorship and client commitments
  • Manage branding assets, event materials, sponsor activations, and onsite needs
  • Coordinate vendors and keep event documentation current
  • Track budgets, reconcile invoices, and help maintain health and safety compliance
  • Support onsite registration, attendee movement, event-day operations, and live issue resolution
  • Work with Event Specialists, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other internal partners
  • Prepare post-event reports, surveys, and performance analytics
  • Maintain event databases and records covering attendance, engagement, and sponsor metrics
  • Recommend improvements to event workflows, attendee experiences, and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in event management, hospitality, marketing, communications, or a related discipline
  • One to three years of experience in event planning, conference production, hospitality, project coordination, or a comparable setting
  • Demonstrated strength in event planning, project coordination, and organization
  • Ability to handle several projects and competing priorities at once
  • Highly consistent attention to detail
  • Strong time-management and prioritization abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Proven customer service and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Experience working with internal teams, vendors, sponsors, speakers, clients, and attendees
  • Background coordinating vendors and suppliers
  • Experience supporting event logistics and operational delivery
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and adaptability
  • Comfort responding to shifting priorities and resolving issues in a fast-paced event setting
  • Experience tracking budgets, reconciling invoices, and handling routine event administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Availability for flexible hours, including occasional evenings, early mornings, and event-day schedules
  • Ability to travel to event venues when needed
