Clinical Operations Specialist - Remote

Support TrueScripts clinical programs and formulary management through documentation, reporting, implementation coordination, and cross-functional operations. This full-time remote role is based in the United States.

Description

  • Support the daily operational and administrative needs of TrueScripts clinical programs
  • Coordinate timelines, tasks, documentation, and follow-up for clinical program development and implementation
  • Maintain program records, workflows, process guides, supporting materials, formulary files, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
  • Monitor action items, deadlines, deliverables, pending decisions, formulary updates, effective dates, and implementation requirements
  • Prepare reports, presentations, communications, meeting agendas, notes, and action-item trackers
  • Coordinate approved clinical program and formulary updates with internal teams
  • Support the testing, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of clinical program changes
  • Collect, organize, validate, and report information for clinical program analysis and reporting
  • Maintain recurring reports, trackers, dashboards, operational tools, documentation accuracy, and version control
  • Identify incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, or conflicting information and coordinate its resolution
  • Act as the operational contact for assigned clinical program processes
  • Collaborate with Operations, Client Services, Account Management, Implementation, Compliance, Pharmacy Network, and other departments
  • Refer clinical questions, exceptions, and decisions to the appropriate pharmacists or clinical leaders
  • Review processes and recommend improvements in efficiency, standardization, scalability, and reduction of manual work
  • Create workflows, checklists, templates, procedures, and current-state and future-state process documentation
  • Manage concurrent projects and responsibilities while meeting established deadlines
  • Support special projects and initiatives assigned by Clinical or Operations leadership
  • Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • At least two years of experience in healthcare, pharmacy, PBM, insurance, benefits, operations, or a related setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
  • Ability to identify issues, honor commitments, and communicate status proactively
  • Experience in a pharmacy, PBM, healthcare, or clinical setting preferred
  • Knowledge of formulary management or pharmacy benefit operations preferred
  • Experience supporting clinical programs or healthcare initiatives preferred
  • Experience using spreadsheets, reporting tools, workflow systems, or project management tools preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and clinical program concepts preferred
  • Experience documenting processes and creating standard operating procedures preferred
  • SQL experience is a plus
  • Highly organized and reliable in following through
