Business Development Representative - Sacramento, CA (Hybrid)

Drive customer acquisition and account expansion for PeopleReady’s on-demand workforce solutions in the Sacramento market. Lead field sales, customer relationships, contract coordination, and revenue growth.

Description

  • Report to the Area Sales Manager
  • Generate new business within the assigned territory through networking, prospecting, and lead development
  • Identify expansion opportunities and qualified prospects for customer acquisition
  • Strengthen customer relationships to improve loyalty and grow accounts
  • Execute sales initiatives that meet or exceed established targets
  • Assess customer needs and recommend tailored workforce solutions
  • Sell PeopleReady service offerings to prospective and existing customers
  • Partner with contracts and legal teams to negotiate customer agreements
  • Apply competitive billing rates and appropriate margins to contracts
  • Communicate distinctive customer requirements to the relevant branch
  • Build cross-selling opportunities across TrueBlue brands and nearby markets
  • Create account management and sales plans that increase share of wallet and retention
  • Conduct formal business reviews with key customers
  • Use technology and account tools to support growth and relationship strategies
  • Track industry trends, competitor solutions, and market changes
  • Coach other sales representatives and client-facing team members
  • Spend more than half of working time on outside sales and customer engagement
  • Visit customer locations and local branches, with travel as needed
  • Work independently without direct supervisory duties

Requirements

  • At least three years of related sales experience, a bachelor’s or associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing a portfolio worth at least $2.5 million annually
  • Sales experience in one or more blue-collar market segments
  • Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to learn, adapt to, and apply new technologies
  • Valid driver’s license, registered vehicle, and vehicle insurance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
  • U.S. work authorization for full-time employment without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence a diverse range of customer stakeholders
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to analyze order, associate, and customer data
  • Ability to build rapport with people from varied backgrounds
  • Ability to understand and respond to diverse client perspectives
