Business Development Representative Intern (Part-Time, Remote)

Part-time remote internship supporting lead generation and qualification for Jonas Chorum’s cloud hospitality technology. Responsibilities include prospecting, campaign follow-up, product demonstrations, and closing smaller B2B opportunities.

Description

  • Generate, qualify, and advance new leads through the Jonas Hospitality sales funnel.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors on sales orders, contract processing, lead qualification, and additional business development activities.
  • Maintain a master sales plan tracking B2B outreach, prospect engagement, and opportunity closure.
  • Identify priority prospects across North America.
  • Create and maintain databases as needed.
  • Coordinate prospecting activities with Regional Sales Directors.
  • Research prospects and conduct discovery conversations to understand their needs and goals.
  • Connect marketing and sales efforts by following up on email campaigns and developing campaigns that generate interest.
  • Qualify, sell, and close smaller B2B opportunities.
  • Learn to demonstrate Jonas Hospitality solutions and provide backup support to application consultants.
  • Track industry trends, market activity, and competitor products.
  • Use social media to increase brand and product awareness and identify potential leads.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
  • Complete 50–100 outbound calls each day.
  • Handle other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Prior sales-team experience is preferred, particularly in hospitality sales.
  • Previous hotel operations experience is ideal.
  • Comfort speaking by telephone with effective tone and pace.
  • General familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to learn technical details about the company’s computer hardware and third-party software products.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com.

  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills.
