- Act as the RBG Compliance contact for digitization and automation initiatives involving Business, the Compliance Digital Studio, and Innovation.
- Review the quality of key deliverables produced by Retail Banking Group compliance squads.
- Ensure squad activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal bank policies.
- Provide strategic direction, lead assigned teams, and advance digital transformation programs.
- Monitor changes to applicable regulatory guidance.
- Support designated RBG Compliance initiatives.
- Perform quality checks on auto-discounting decisions and high-risk nationality alerts.
- Centralize RBG incidents requiring CPR Standards assessment and escalation for CBUAE reporting.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory expectations, bank policies, and internal standards.
- Ensure unit procedures remain consistent with applicable regulations and bank policies.
- Deliver compliance training to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on name-screening matches and enhanced due diligence for high-risk business accounts.
- Analyze high-risk review and name-screening compliance reports for senior management.
- Address audit queries and represent Compliance on ad hoc projects.
- Perform quality assurance reviews for the Retail Compliance team.
- Manage the compliance team through mentoring and performance oversight.
- Lead compliance transformation work involving automation, AI integration, and dashboard development.
- Represent Compliance in strategic cross-functional meetings and projects.
- Identify and escalate high-risk nationality alerts that may breach discounting guidelines.
- Ensure incident reporting to CBUAE meets Consumer Protection Regulation requirements.
- Maintain incident, assessment, and regulatory communication records and audit trails.
- Assess high-risk referrals and relationships involving politically exposed persons.
- Support product, system, and policy development.
- Identify deviations and escalate them to management.
- Resolve challenges arising from automation and digitization initiatives.
- Evaluate compliance risks and recommend mitigation actions.
- Make decisions on high-risk and name-screening referrals within onboarding and KYC processes.
- Support product development, system enhancements, policies, and procedures.
- Identify and report issues to enable timely resolution.
- Assist management with onboarding, KYC, advisory, and process improvement initiatives.
