Opis

  • Advise on medical and prescription coverage, insurance verification, claim billing, medication prior authorizations, appeals, and alternative financial assistance.
  • Record information accurately in the required systems and formats.
  • Update physicians and patients on referral progress by phone, fax, or the core pharmacy system.
  • Help offices prepare and file prior authorization and appeal documents.
  • Track authorization and appeal progress to support timely processing and medication access.
  • Research pharmacy and medical benefits using internal and online tools.
  • Work with health insurers and providers, and keep payer intelligence resources current.
  • Add patient demographic and insurance details to the hub information system.
  • Alert physicians when insurance information is missing or inaccurate.

Zahteve

  • Have 1–3 years of experience in healthcare or reimbursement.
  • Have prior experience in a call center, healthcare office, corporate setting, health insurer, or pharmacy.
  • Understand commercial and government medical and pharmacy insurance programs.
  • Know billing, alternative funding resources, reimbursement processes, insurance verification, prior authorization and appeals, and specialty pharmacy operations.
  • Pharmacy call center experience is preferred for A+ candidates.
  • Healthcare call center and medical claims experience is preferred for A- candidates.
