Staff Data Scientist, Growth Algorithms — Airwallex
Lead the development of predictive models, AI agents, and causal systems for Airwallex’s financial platform. Apply data science to improve customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
Descriere
- Develop and refine predictive models, personalization and recommendation systems, LLM applications, incentive optimization, and causal inference models.
- Work with Growth, Marketing, Product, Sales, Engineering, and other teams to turn data and AI into recommendations, investment decisions, and go-to-market plans.
- Assess the causal impact of marketing and growth initiatives, determine what is effective, and turn findings into action.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and long-term direction to raise the data science team’s capabilities.
- Create scalable decision systems with semantic layers, context retrieval, evaluation infrastructure, validation gates, and governance.
- Build machine learning and AI systems that influence product behavior, ranking, pricing, risk, allocation, and customer experiences.
- Bring structure to ambiguous problems, design experiments, account for confounding factors, challenge unreliable conclusions, and deliver dependable production systems.
Cerințe
- At least 7 years of industry experience.
- An advanced degree, such as an MS or PhD, in a quantitative field such as statistics, engineering, science, computer science, or economics.
- Expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling for data-driven growth strategy.
- Practical experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production systems, including cloud services and real-time or batch pipelines.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience using machine learning and statistical models to measure the causal impact of marketing or growth initiatives.
- Strong experience with AI harnesses and building AI agents.
- Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience communicating analyses and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in technology, financial services, or a high-growth environment.
- Industry experience providing technical mentorship in machine learning and experimentation.
