Senior Engineering Manager, Customer Experience at Tibber — Berlin Hybrid
Lead Tibber’s Customer Experience engineering domain, spanning the app, AI assistant, and agentic product development. Guide teams building smarter energy experiences for customers.
Descriere
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data to lead Tibber’s Customer Experience engineering domain
- Set and manage a multi-quarter roadmap connected to Tibber’s business objectives
- Manage 8–15 engineers across multiple subteams, including Staff Engineers and Tech Leads
- Take ownership of team health, performance, and professional development
- Create an inclusive, transparent, and psychologically safe team culture
- Develop Staff Engineers and Tech Leads as effective leaders
- Ensure high-quality, dependable delivery across the Tibber app and customer companion
- Connect engineering work to its purpose while balancing delivery speed, quality, and sustainability
- Keep a clear view of the domain’s technical health and current state
- Work with the Staff Engineer to shape technical direction and align it with business priorities
- Guide the move toward agentic engineering and responsible AI-enabled customer experiences
- Help improve engineering-wide practices, hiring, and onboarding
- Represent the Customer Experience domain throughout Tibber
- Report to the VP of Engineering
Cerințe
- Five or more years of experience leading software engineering teams
- Experience managing approximately 10 or more engineers across several subteams is preferred
- Strong software engineering background with experience delivering production systems
- Able to discuss mobile and app architecture, as well as modern AI-driven product experiences, with technical credibility
- Experience owning a customer-facing product area, preferably a mobile app at scale
- Experience leading an engineering domain in partnership with Product and Design
- Track record of setting and delivering multi-quarter direction in ambiguous conditions
- Strength in coaching, feedback, people leadership, and decision-making
- Experience guiding engineers through agentic development with measurable outcomes
- Understanding of agentic development tools, workflows, and changes in engineering practice
