Descriere

  • Lead and develop three Data Center Field Engineering Practice Leads while maintaining clear accountability.
  • Define standards for leadership, workforce readiness, utilization, delivery health, quality, performance management, and accountability.
  • Maintain an outlook on demand, capacity, skills, geography, workforce risk, and future hiring or partner needs.
  • Develop workforce strategies across employees, contractors, and delivery partners according to demand, capability, cost, location, and risk.
  • Manage the Data Center partner ecosystem to ensure appropriate capability, capacity, geographic coverage, quality, and union or non-union support.
  • Track major customer engagements, delivery risks, resource constraints, partner issues, quality trends, and escalations.
  • Lead major delivery issues that require organizational, workforce, partner, or cross-functional decisions.
  • Advance consistent Field Engineering methods, tools, quality standards, escalation practices, and operating processes.
  • Monitor utilization, workforce costs, partner spending, labor mix, productivity, capacity, and related operating metrics.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Resource Management, PMO, RDD, Solutions, Sales, Costing and Estimating, Partner Management, and delivery leaders.
  • Support major opportunities and programs by validating delivery schedules, workforce models, field leadership, partner assumptions, and Field Engineering costs.
  • Strengthen leadership depth through succession planning and targeted development priorities.
  • Recognize recurring delivery or operational problems and lead corrective action.

Cerințe

  • 10+ years in Field Engineering, data center infrastructure delivery, Professional Services, technical services, or a related field; 12–15+ years preferred.
  • 5+ years managing managers, leaders, or large distributed technical teams.
  • Experience leading an organization of similar size and complexity across multiple geographies or customer programs.
  • Large-scale or hyperscale data center program experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, capacity management, utilization, performance management, and organizational leadership.
  • Experience designing and managing partner-based delivery models.
  • Strong financial and operational judgment, including the ability to connect workforce and partner choices with utilization, cost, productivity, and delivery results.
  • Proven ability to lead through other leaders instead of personally managing every project or escalation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, commercial, and executive teams.
  • Strong communication, judgment, decision-making, and organizational capabilities.
  • Comfort working in a fast-changing environment where customer demand, resource needs, and delivery priorities shift quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure deployment and field execution across active, construction, commissioning, colocation, mission-critical, or hyperscale environments.
  • Working knowledge of rack installation, rack build, land and level, equipment integration, structured cabling, cable management, and related physical infrastructure work.
  • Working knowledge of fiber and copper installation, routing, dressing, termination, testing, patching, labeling, documentation, and acceptance standards.
  • Understanding of site readiness, surveys, migrations, commissioning support, quality evidence, closeout, and customer-specific execution requirements.
  • Experience leading organizations that use a blended workforce of internal technical leaders, field resources, contractors, and delivery partners.
  • Understanding of operating needs for large-scale programs, rapid workforce expansion, geographic coverage, and partner-led execution.
