Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Remote in the Philippines

Lead financial planning, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting at WeAssist, a recruiting firm that connects remote professionals with US businesses. Partner with the CEO on strategy and build the finance function.

Descriere

  • Develop WeAssist’s annual financial plan and three- to five-year projections
  • Turn company goals and growth targets into financial plans and milestones
  • Model the financial effects of new services, pricing changes, hiring plans, and growth initiatives
  • Work with the CEO to set company-wide financial targets
  • Maintain rolling monthly and quarterly forecasts for revenue, expenses, and profitability
  • Forecast revenue from the client pipeline, placements, retention, and churn
  • Prepare best-case, base-case, and worst-case scenarios
  • Compare forecasts with actual results and update assumptions
  • Lead annual budgeting and establish department budgets
  • Track actual spending against budgets and recommend adjustments
  • Find ways to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency
  • Review spending on vendors, software, and other tools
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow visibility and forecasts
  • Manage working capital, receivables, payables, and collection timing
  • Ensure timely payroll funding for internal staff and Outsourced Professionals
  • Maintain cash reserves and plan investment runway
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
  • Create executive dashboards and track finance KPIs, including gross margin, client profitability, LTV, CAC, and revenue per placement
  • Assess profitability by client, service line, and team
  • Share actionable financial insights with the CEO and leadership team
  • Provide finance metrics for the company scorecard and leadership meetings
  • Advise the CEO on growth, pricing, investments, and risk
  • Assess the return on investment of initiatives, hires, markets, and partnerships
  • Guide pricing and fee structure decisions to protect margins
  • Support financing, banking relationships, and future capital or M&A discussions
  • Set up internal controls, approval workflows, and audit readiness
  • Oversee bookkeeping, month-end close, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with external CPAs, tax advisors, and auditors
  • Identify financial risks and put mitigation plans in place
  • Create and document finance procedures that can scale
  • Assess, implement, and improve finance tools, integrations, and automations
  • Apply AI and automation to streamline reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation
  • Mentor finance or bookkeeping support as the team grows
  • Lead strategic finance as WeAssist scales its remote recruiting business

Cerințe

  • Substantial experience in a senior finance position, such as CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, or FP&A Lead
  • Experience in a growing service-based business or a US company is preferred
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, accrual accounting, and month-end close
  • Experience managing liquidity, working capital, and runway in a scaling business
  • High personal integrity and alignment with WeAssist’s values
  • Practical knowledge of modern AI tools for faster analysis and reporting
  • Executive communication skills, including explaining complex financial data as actionable insights
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or comparable accounting software
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and dashboards
  • Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, plus prompt engineering
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, and project management platforms
  • Availability during PST business hours
  • Responsive communication with the CEO and leadership team during business hours
  • A professional remote workspace with a clean background, good camera and microphone, and strong Wi-Fi
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is a bonus
  • Staffing, recruiting, or agency experience is a bonus
  • Exposure to US tax considerations, multi-entity structures, or cross-border payments is a bonus
  • Fundraising, investor reporting, financing, or M&A experience is a bonus
  • Familiarity with FP&A or BI tools such as Fathom, LivePlan, Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with payroll and payments platforms such as Gusto, Deel, Wise, or Payoneer is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with billing and expense tools such as Bill.com, Ramp, or Expensify is highly preferred
  • Experience with Zapier, Make.com, or N8N for finance workflows is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, especially GoHighLevel, is highly preferred
