Description

  • Lead the development of robust, observable, measurable applications through user-centered extreme programming practices
  • Own the full application lifecycle in partnership with designers, product managers, and engineers
  • Apply critical thinking, lean experimentation, data, and industry practices to deliver business results
  • Define and advance product engineering and software standards
  • Support junior engineers through pair programming, one-on-one coaching, and informal guidance
  • Promote strong partnerships, collaborative delivery, technical initiatives, and continuous feedback
  • Adapt and champion extreme programming methods across teams
  • Design modular, headless AI backend services with advanced RAG and multi-agent orchestration capabilities
  • Build enterprise MCP gateways, API integration and mediation layers, rate limiters, and security proxies
  • Create streaming simulation frontends for testing agent behavior, prompt strategies, and human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Work with applied data science and machine learning specialists to fine-tune SLMs, apply AWQ/GPTQ quantization, and improve GPU inference memory usage
  • Implement distributed tracing, token usage logging, and inference latency monitoring
  • Deliver reusable libraries, containerized microservices, and integration SDKs
  • Architect resilient Compound AI Systems that route requests across deterministic APIs, specialized SLMs, and frontier LLMs

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience building and scaling production applications with foundation models, RAG, or agentic workflows
  • At least 6 years of experience securely connecting AI applications to enterprise data, APIs, and identity and access controls
  • At least 4 years of experience measuring and improving AI application quality, latency, reliability, and cost
  • At least 6 years of professional software development experience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands
  • Advanced understanding of application design patterns, event-driven architecture, database schemas, and testing approaches
  • Experience troubleshooting and tuning performance in large-scale applications
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Knowledge of and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test-driven development
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in management information systems, computer science, or a related field preferred
