Operational Administrator – Peterborough Onsite

Provide administrative, procurement and scheduling support to water supply and network maintenance teams in an onsite operational role. Coordinate records, training, meetings, invoices and communications with colleagues, contractors and customers.

Description

  • Support the effective day-to-day operation of operational teams
  • Deliver core administrative support to the Bedford Supply Teams
  • Manage workloads while providing administrative and procurement assistance
  • Organise and document meetings, including room bookings, minutes, refreshments and invitations
  • Maintain meeting diaries and schedule one-to-one and monthly team meetings
  • Keep health and safety records accurate and up to date
  • Monitor training gaps and expiry dates, and arrange required training
  • Handle data collection and retention in line with GDPR requirements
  • Raise purchase orders and process invoices for payment
  • Complete administrative work for field-based and management teams
  • Respond to daily tasks and requests from the Network Maintenance team
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and customers
  • Deliver consistently high-quality customer service

Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in a comparable operational environment
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Confidence proactively coordinating with a diverse range of people
  • Good general IT skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong numerical ability
  • Experience handling data and preparing spreadsheets
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Appointment is subject to references, a driving licence, identity verification and other applicable employment checks
  • A full driving licence is essential
