General Manager, Aviation Catering (On-Site)

Lead aviation catering operations in Carlstadt, New Jersey, overseeing kitchen performance, staff, client relationships, sales activity, food safety, and service delivery.

Description

  • Direct Air Culinaire activities and operational responsibilities in support of the District Manager
  • Oversee team work quality, global communications, operating standards, and business-function delivery within the market
  • Maintain kitchen performance standards, product specifications, accuracy, training, and culinary expertise
  • Use Shipday to coordinate catering orders and deliveries and record delivery photos and recipient names
  • Communicate and collaborate with the District Manager, Senior Director of Operations, and Sales team while following established procedures
  • Improve market performance and operating efficiency in support of business goals
  • Lead local sales promotions, client engagement, relationship development, customer service, and loyalty initiatives
  • Recruit strong team members and develop catering revenue opportunities and aviation catering clients
  • Supervise and train employees and oversee food and concierge service preparation and delivery
  • Support payroll, scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, disciplinary actions, training, and related records
  • Optimize kitchen financial performance within quality standards, corporate policies, and approved budgets
  • Oversee HACCP, food safety, workplace safety, customer relations, satisfaction, and on-time delivery standards
  • Assist with local promotions, client visits, inventory reporting, purchasing, and receiving
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of company assets and coordinate repairs, contracts, and services
  • Investigate and resolve food- and service-related complaints and process events
  • Implement and uphold corporate policies and Air Culinaire Standard Operating Procedures
  • Submit timesheets, operational checklists, performance reports, and weekly Coupa expense reports
  • Manage and audit monthly vehicle maintenance logs

Requirements

  • Support operational directives spanning kitchen accuracy, office administration, personnel, local clients, facilities, capital assets, government compliance, and corporate requirements
  • Experience supporting catering operations, supervising and training staff, and maintaining food and concierge service quality and accuracy
  • Bilingual English-Spanish communication is strongly preferred and may influence the hiring decision
  • Follow state labor requirements for employee meal and rest breaks and maintain the required records
  • Support culinary event execution, menu coordination, employee development, staff training, and payroll approval
  • Complete payroll, scheduling, performance reviews, training, hiring, disciplinary, and related documentation accurately and on schedule
  • Understand kitchen financial performance, quality expectations, corporate standards, and budget management
  • Understand HACCP, food safety, workplace safety regulations, and premium-quality service standards
  • Handle customer communications, client relations, satisfaction, on-time delivery, purchasing, and receiving
  • Manage company-asset cleaning, maintenance, repairs, contracts, and service arrangements
  • Investigate and resolve food- and service-related complaints and process events
  • Apply and enforce corporate policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Prepare timesheets, operating checklists, performance reports, and expense reports
  • Use Shipday for order coordination, deliveries, delivery photos, and recipient records
  • Use Coupa to submit weekly company and personal expense reports
  • Complete a pre-employment background check, drug test, applicable MVR review, and E-Verify process
