Freelance Technical English-to-Vietnamese Translator – Remote
Freelance linguist needed to translate and proofread technical documents from English into Vietnamese. Work remotely with project managers while supporting client-ready content and language quality testing.
Description
- Translate and proofread documents for diverse clients
- Prepare and finalize translated content for client delivery
- Translate technical-sector materials from English into Vietnamese
- Coordinate with project managers under managerial guidance
- Complete translation, MTPE, and proofreading or QM assessments
Requirements
- Strong written and spoken Vietnamese communication skills
- Technical specialization in areas such as information technology, electronics, or manufacturing
- Exceptional attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
- Professional conduct and the ability to meet demanding deadlines
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
- Willingness to complete free translation, MTPE, and proofreading or QM assessments
- Degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies—or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training—from a recognized higher-education institution; or
- Two years of translation experience and a college degree; or
- Five years of translation experience without a college degree; or
- A translation-competency certificate issued by an appropriate government authority
- Current CV listing relevant translation, MTPE, and proofreading or QM experience, plus proposed per-word rates in USD
