Executive Assistant (Hybrid) - Eversource Energy

Support Eversource Energy executives with calendar management, correspondence, travel coordination, and confidential administrative work. Improve office workflows and coordinate cross-functional operations across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Description

  • Deliver administrative and executive support that keeps the Executive’s organization running efficiently.
  • Manage daily office operations, including supplies and services, budget monitoring, records systems, and incoming correspondence.
  • Review letters, reports, and related documents, preparing summaries and recommendations.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel; manage the calendar and workday while screening and prioritizing requests for the Executive’s time.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials, agendas, and reports for internal and external meetings and commitments.
  • Handle telephone calls, written correspondence, and personal contacts for the Executive.
  • Stay closely connected with officers and department managers to keep the Manager informed of significant activities and events.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and assignments.
  • Assess administrative practices and implement improvements to office workflow.
  • Create and maintain computerized documents that support and report on daily operations.
  • Provide responsive, high-quality service to internal and external constituents.
  • Delegate work to organization-level secretaries or provide direction and oversight when needed.
  • Use a structured team approach to support colleagues and managers.
  • Respond to emergencies and, when necessary, work beyond normal responsibilities, hours, and location.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is required.
  • An associate degree or advanced business school or administrative secretarial training is preferred.
  • At least 5–7 years of demonstrated executive administrative experience or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in administrative secretarial science is preferred.
  • Proven record of high performance and strong organizational ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and remain composed.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Availability for emergency restoration assignments as required.
  • Availability to travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary.
