Executive Assistant, Global Supply Chain – Ciena (Canada Remote)

Support Ciena’s Global Supply Chain executives with calendar management, travel coordination, meetings, and stakeholder engagement. This Canada-based remote role serves a global networking technology organization.

Description

  • Partner with an Executive to improve focus, efficiency, and decision-making across a global organization.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders and teams in research and development, product line management, supply chain, sales, marketing, human resources, and information technology.
  • Coordinate and facilitate complex internal and external meetings, including all-hands calls, technology forums, and senior leadership summits.
  • Manage the Executive’s calendar from end to end, prioritizing customer, partner, and internal commitments.
  • Arrange complex domestic and international travel across multiple time zones.
  • Maintain an effective operating rhythm with the Executive through real-time communication, proactive support, and timely follow-through.
  • Support visiting customers and internal and external stakeholders with local office and event logistics, including meeting setup and on-site coordination.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience supporting executives in a fast-paced, global business environment.
  • Highly professional written and verbal communication skills, with sound discretion.
  • Proven independence, business judgment, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, set priorities, and manage competing demands.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Availability to work variable hours when business needs require it.
  • Experience supporting executives in technology, product, or supply chain organizations.
  • Experience working in international business settings and across cultures.
  • Background coordinating complex travel across multiple time zones.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Oracle, and Copilot.
  • Experience supporting customer visits or other high-visibility stakeholder engagements.
