Event Management Specialist I (Hybrid)

Supports tradeshows, end-user events, and dealer programs for Shure, a global audio equipment manufacturer. Coordinates event logistics, communications, budgets, planning systems, and operational workflows.

Description

  • Own event plans, timelines, and workflow processes across the event portfolio
  • Monitor milestones, schedule risks, dependencies, and action items, escalating issues when needed
  • Administer event planning platforms, project management tools, Jira boards, trackers, status reports, documentation, and dashboards
  • Develop meeting agendas, action summaries, status updates, stakeholder presentations, pre-show materials, and post-show recaps
  • Coordinate booth staffing and event logistics, including registration, hotel blocks, catering, travel, schedules, and staff communications
  • Manage purchase requisitions, invoice processing, expense tracking, budget reconciliation, and financial reporting
  • Support legal, procurement, and compliance processes involving contracts, sponsorships, vendor records, insurance, and approvals
  • Provide operational assistance before, during, and after events through schedule updates, stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and administrative support
  • Keep event documentation, planning resources, vendor records, contact databases, and operating procedures current

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline
  • 0–2 years of experience planning events or tradeshows
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without formal authority
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Audio industry experience is a plus
  • Must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States
  • Shure does not sponsor employment visas
  • Some regional travel may be required, up to four times per year, though travel is not expected
