Chief of Staff – Sri Lanka (Remote)

Serve as the executive’s strategic partner at Oceans Talent, supporting priorities, operations, and decision-making. Coordinate cross-functional execution, guide teams, and turn complex information into actionable business insights.

Description

  • Represent the executive in meetings by offering strategic input and making decisions consistent with their direction.
  • Help define company priorities and drive their implementation.
  • Coordinate communication between the executive and internal teams to maintain clarity, alignment, and follow-through.
  • Prepare and present executive reports, presentations, strategic memos, and other important communications.
  • Turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Find operational bottlenecks, improve workflows, and introduce effective practices.
  • Lead high-priority projects and keep delivery on schedule.
  • Partner with department leaders on cross-functional initiatives and company objectives.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to assess performance and support ongoing improvement.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Develop relationships across the organization and connect leadership with teams.
  • Help teams execute strategic priorities.
  • Partner with HR, finance, and other functions on organizational planning and talent strategy.
  • Oversee selected individuals or teams in support of business goals.
  • Work closely with the supported executive, senior leaders, department heads, key stakeholders, and Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Professional fluency in English across reading, writing, and speaking is required.
  • At least eight years of experience in a communication-intensive role at a reputable organization.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and organizational discipline.
  • An undergraduate degree is preferred, while relevant professional experience is also valued.
  • MBA, CFA, CIM, CIPM, or CIMA certification is an added advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate inclusively with people from varied backgrounds.
  • Strong business judgment and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at every level.
  • Availability for a split shift with some overlap with the client’s time zone.
  • Ability to attend in-person training during the first three and a half weeks.
