AML Compliance Investigations Analyst - American Express
Investigate potential money laundering and suspicious financial activity for American Express financial-crime compliance teams. Prepare SAR-related reports and coordinate significant cases with internal strategic partners.

- Perform timely, detailed initial investigations into potential money laundering and suspicious financial activity across jurisdictions
- Apply research and analytical tools to assess investigative information
- Write reports that analyze potentially suspicious activity for secondary review
- Develop strong partnerships across the unit to coordinate significant investigations effectively
- Maintain rigorous attention to detail throughout investigation, analysis, and report writing
- Work proactively with hybrid colleagues to resolve investigative obstacles
- Coach colleagues through peer reviews and casework quality evaluations when aligned with their capabilities and expertise
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least two years of experience in law, audit, investigations, or the broader financial industry, or a bachelor's degree in Justice Studies, English, Journalism, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or another discipline emphasizing research, writing, or data analysis
- At least six months of American Express financial-crime investigations experience, including demonstrated proficiency with American Express data sources, tools, and internal systems to independently deliver well-supported investigative decisions
- Ability to analyze substantial data from multiple sources and make logical, well-supported decisions when reporting critical information
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write clear summaries that consolidate recommendations and conclusions
- Professional, self-directed, and able to work with urgency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, along with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to collaborate with leaders, colleagues, and strategic partners across organizational levels and functions
- Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially and professionally
- At least two years of BSA/AML compliance or law-enforcement experience preferred
- Experience researching information for business purposes preferred
- Knowledge of American Express products and systems preferred
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, laws, and industry practices preferred
- Ability to use data to inform effective business decisions preferred
- Experience providing feedback that improves processes or strengthens proficiency preferred
- CAMS and/or CFE certification preferred
- Eligibility to work for American Express in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available
