Tavsif

  • Set the principles and practices that guide Wonder’s use of data, experimentation, and machine learning.
  • Coach and mentor a growing team of data scientists.
  • Support career growth and technical excellence across the group.
  • Investigate how interconnected marketplace systems and feedback loops work.
  • Build causal inference and experimentation frameworks to measure business impact.
  • Work with engineering on architecture for shared data layers, feature pipelines, modeling APIs, experimentation infrastructure, and production ML services.
  • Design and deliver experiments for changes intended to improve business metrics.
  • Advance business-focused data science that combines causal inference, experimentation, risk-aware modeling, and scalable production ML.
  • Find high-impact opportunities in marketplace efficiency, customer experience, ETA accuracy, fulfillment reliability, pricing, supply planning, demand forecasting, and operational performance.
  • Prototype and test models and insights, shape their architecture, and put them into operation to improve business metrics.

Talablar

  • At least 8 years of industry experience with a master’s degree, or 6 or more years with a PhD, in statistics, economics, applied mathematics, computer science, data science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated success applying data science and machine learning to complex business challenges.
  • Advanced knowledge of causal inference, experimentation, and statistical modeling.
  • Strong judgment on business and product trade-offs.
  • Proficiency in Python, data analysis, visualization, and object-oriented programming for scalable, production-ready code.
  • Track record of deploying data science, machine learning, or causal inference systems to production.
  • Fluency in SQL or comparable tools for querying production-scale datasets directly.
  • Experience mentoring and setting technical direction for scientists, analysts, or engineers.
  • Experience leading the end-to-end design of data science, machine learning, measurement, or experimentation frameworks.
  • Experience designing causal measurement approaches for complex systems.
  • Background in causal inference, econometrics, Bayesian modeling, experimental design, or observational measurement.
  • Experience with applied experimentation methods such as A/B tests, power analysis, heterogeneous treatment effects, guardrail metrics, interference effects, and long-term impact measurement.
  • Experience building or shaping production machine learning systems.
  • Ability to align product, engineering, operations, business, and data science teams around a shared strategy.
  • Experience setting strategy and technical roadmaps for data science, machine learning, experimentation, or causal inference platforms.
