Opis

Direct daily operations for the Collections and Loss Mitigation team.
Contact members with overdue loans to collect payments and arrange repayment plans.
Oversee repossession and foreclosure procedures for delinquent secured loans.
Prepare detailed reports and present findings to executive leaders and credit committees.
Refer charged-off loans to collection agencies or civil litigation.
Ensure credit reporting is accurate and fair, and resolve disputes promptly.
Manage loans in legal collections and bankruptcy.
Direct recovery efforts for charged-off debt.
Produce collection reports on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
Lead a professional collections team and drive process improvements.
Track and report collections and loss mitigation activity; conduct monthly quality and productivity audits.
Maintain inbound and outbound call coverage and assign resources in a regional call center.
Monitor employee performance standards and service levels.
Lead, coach, train, and develop staff; conduct reviews and recommend personnel actions.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
Oversee repossessions and maximize returns from repossessed and foreclosed assets.
Review bankruptcy accounts and monitor related reports and agreements.
Resolve credit report disputes within required deadlines.
Use analytics to forecast recoveries.
Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement work.
Protect confidential member and sensitive information.

Zahteve

At least four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
At least three years of management experience.
A proven record of strong recoveries that offset gross charge-offs.
Experience managing specialized collections, including legal and bankruptcy matters.
Broad collections knowledge, including bankruptcy, repossessions, liquidations, and foreclosures.
Knowledge of workforce management practices for coordinating staff schedules.
Comprehensive knowledge of financial products and services.
Thorough understanding of applicable laws, regulations, compliance practices, and credit union procedures, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Computer and software proficiency, including advanced Microsoft Office skills and report creation.
Ability to handle difficult or escalated calls.
Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills related to collections.
Ability to coordinate and complete multiple priorities and projects effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
Ability to prepare, deliver, and interpret reports using Excel or Prism.
Financial institution experience and financial services knowledge preferred.
Education equivalent to a four-year college degree, specialized course of study, trade school, or a comparable combination of education, experience, and training.
