Descriere

  • Support employees who cannot work because of disability, illness, or injury
  • Help employees maintain or regain effective vocational functioning on a temporary or permanent basis
  • Evaluate functional capacity and vocational information to determine employability and alternative work options
  • Interview employees as part of vocational assessments
  • Complete file reviews, vocational assessments, and transferable-skills analyses using vocational software and the Dictionary of Occupational Titles
  • Identify alternative occupations aligned with claimants’ skills, aptitudes, and physical and mental capabilities
  • Review cases for return-to-work opportunities and determine appropriate triage
  • Co-manage return-to-work claims in line with employer requirements
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and employers on transitional work releases and workplace accommodations
  • Record vocational activities, transferable skills, alternative occupations, work expectations, return-to-work barriers, and accommodations or modifications
  • Coordinate outside vocational services such as ergonomic assessments, career exploration, job development, and placement
  • Collaborate with vendors and state vocational rehabilitation agencies
  • Advise claims teams and managers on case direction and complete three-point contact when needed
  • Support sales presentations and client implementations as required
  • Arrange physical, psychological, neuropsychological, academic, and vocational evaluations, including standardized testing
  • Identify barriers to employment and create strategies and transitional return-to-work plans
  • Maintain personal, vocational, eligibility, and medical records along with correspondence, service documentation, and employee contact details

Cerințe

  • Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from a CORE-accredited program, such as an M.A., M.S., or M.Ed.
  • Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)
  • At least three years of experience working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, disability claims, insurance practices, Social Security Disability, and ADA laws
  • Proficiency with TSA- and LMS-based programs
  • Ability to create individualized rehabilitation programs for long-term disability claimants
  • Ability to exert force of up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to perform sedentary work that includes sitting, walking, and standing
  • Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings
  • Strong communication, organization, customer service, and analytical capabilities
  • Effective multitasking skills and flexibility in managing changing tasks
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive work promptly and prioritize independently
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on a diverse team
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
