Descriere

  • Coach and guide software developers through regular one-to-ones, performance feedback, career planning, and technical support.
  • Oversee delivery of product features, infrastructure upgrades, and technical debt reduction.
  • Set and uphold standards for code, architecture, testing, security, service reliability, and operational health.
  • Work with Product to clarify requirements, set priorities, and shape product objectives into practical engineering plans.
  • Expand the use of AI in development planning, tools, workflows, operations, and cost control.
  • Remove obstacles, support technical decisions, and give engineers the context and resources they need.
  • Support workforce planning and manage recruiting, selection, and onboarding for software engineering roles.
  • Refine engineering processes and workflows to improve productivity, delivery pace, and responsiveness.
  • Help keep production services healthy and dependable, and apply lessons from incidents and operational issues.
  • Help shape engineering strategy, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide practices and architecture for the AI platform.

Cerințe

  • At least five years of software development experience, including two or more years leading or managing engineering teams.
  • A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong experience using a modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or Java in scalable production SaaS environments.
  • Practical experience building and deploying cloud services on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of modern distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex software projects through the full development lifecycle while handling priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Strong grounding in current software engineering practices, including testing, API and database design, security, and production reliability.
  • Experience coaching and developing software engineers and building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate technical discussions and work across Engineering, Product, and other teams.
  • Experience helping grow engineering teams in a fast-moving startup or expanding technology company.
  • Experience working with machine learning or data science teams and AI-powered products is an asset.
