Senior Technical Accountant – Lloyd’s Reinsurance

Lead technical accounting for Lloyd’s and reinsurance portfolios at Augment Risk. Manage settlements, reconciliations, controls, and the accuracy of portfolio financial records.

Descriere

  • Manage technical accounting for assigned reinsurance and Lloyd’s portfolios, covering premiums, claims, commissions, brokerage, tax, and settlements
  • Assess contracts, endorsements, bordereaux, and placement data against commercial agreements and market requirements
  • Prepare and review statements, reconciliations, cash allocations, settlement instructions, and supporting records
  • Investigate accounting discrepancies and drive timely resolution
  • Coordinate with Claims Operations on reserves, loss movements, payments, and claims bordereaux
  • Partner with the Lloyd’s Technical Operations Manager on market processing, controls, exceptions, and data quality
  • Maintain robust accounting controls, supporting evidence, and audit trails
  • Spot emerging risks and escalate significant issues with clear recommendations and response options
  • Assist with credit control, collections, cash application, and payment verification
  • Help improve accounting automation, bordereaux ingestion, reconciliations, and reporting tools while preserving effective human oversight
  • Advise brokers and Client Solutions teams on servicing and accounting requirements
  • Keep premium, claims, commission, and cash records accurate, timely, and readily explainable
  • Minimize and rapidly resolve Lloyd’s-specific accounting and processing exceptions

Cerințe

  • At least five years of technical accounting experience in reinsurance, insurance, Lloyd’s broking, a managing agent, or a similar specialist setting
  • Thorough understanding of technical accounting for premiums, claims, commissions, brokerage, cash, and settlements
  • Demonstrated Lloyd’s market experience, including the operational and accounting impact of market processing requirements
  • Strong analytical ability and reconciliation skills
  • Highly disciplined approach to accuracy, documentation, and financial controls
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Comfort working with accounting, broking, or workflow systems
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Effective collaborator across multiple functions
  • Experience with delegated authority, binders, bordereaux-intensive portfolios, or ILS structures
  • Background in improving or implementing technical accounting workflows, data controls, or automation
  • Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one preferred
