Technical Sales Representative - Industrial Automation

Grow Davis Controls’ Canadian automation and process-solutions revenue through industrial customer relationships, pipeline development, and tailored technical solutions across Ontario.

  • Find new business opportunities while building and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Recommend tailored solutions that address client needs and improve the customer experience.
  • Create and carry out strategic sales and growth plans across the product and solutions portfolio.
  • Target, pursue, and win new business in selected industries.
  • Manage follow-ups on proposals, quotations, and opportunities to improve conversion and revenue.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and produce reliable bookings and revenue forecasts.
  • Increase share of wallet within existing accounts while developing new customer relationships.
  • Address customer order reminders and proactively coordinate project timelines.
  • Advise customers on system sizing, product selection, and application fit.
  • Support project documentation, including submittals, drawings, specifications, and compliance records.

Prasības

  • Postsecondary training in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Process Automation, or a related technical field; equivalent education and relevant industry experience may also qualify.
  • At least 5–7 years of progressive experience in business development, technical sales, or account management serving industrial process customers and industries.
  • Demonstrated success winning new business, increasing market share, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as needed for customer support and business-growth activities.
  • Valid driving licence and a favourable driver’s abstract.
  • Strong capabilities in business development, prospecting, and relationship management.
  • Effective consultative sales and negotiation skills.
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain product features, system solutions, and application requirements.
  • Well-developed organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing opportunities and priorities.
  • Experience preparing proposals, following up on projects, and maintaining documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and sales-reporting tools.
