Apraksts

  • Guide students to support persistence, retention, and enrollment growth
  • Build student relationships and provide academic advising
  • Coordinate with admissions, faculty, career services, and central services
  • Address student needs and coordinate access to services as their primary contact
  • Prepare quarterly schedules and advise students on course sequencing
  • Review quarterly academic progress, including GPA and CCR calculations and projections
  • Coordinate advising schedules, outreach, and student success efforts
  • Encourage students and help them address personal barriers to educational progress
  • Use the student information system to document and monitor student progress and advising activity
  • Answer questions about financial aid, FAFSA/FAConnect, ledger cards, payment plans, and excess funds
  • Explain how credit load affects tuition and financial aid awards
  • Contact students proactively and review trends in student success data
  • Contribute to student retention efforts
  • Follow institutional, government, and accreditation policies and regulations
  • Work with the team on process improvements and university decisions
  • Help with campus and community events, orientations, career fairs, and graduation ceremonies
  • Stay informed about university programs, accreditation, learning outcomes, career options, and industry outlook

Prasības

  • At least one year of experience in advising, counseling, customer service, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Student information system experience is preferred
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with other departments in person and virtually
  • Strong multitasking, organization, planning, and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated customer service experience in a professional setting
  • Self-motivated, flexible, patient, and focused on solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Professional appearance and a professional manner by phone and online
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Bachelor’s degree required
