  • Install and test medical devices at customer sites to company standards.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment safety checks.
  • Diagnose faults and repair devices promptly and accurately.
  • Support healthcare professionals with on-site and remote technical assistance.
  • Teach clinical staff and other users to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Record service work, equipment logs, and compliance details accurately.
  • Follow applicable regulations, safety standards, and company policies, including FDA and ISO requirements.
  • Coordinate territory visits, respond to service requests, and arrange third-party support when needed.
  • Keep service tools, parts, and equipment inventory up to date.
  • Work with engineering, sales, and customer support to strengthen customer satisfaction.
  • Spot potential service contract renewals, equipment upgrades, and product improvements.

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience in field service, medical device support, or a related technical position.
  • A comparable mix of education and practical technical experience may be accepted.
  • Solid knowledge of electronics, mechanical systems, and medical equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Skill using diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting methods.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Sound problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work independently with limited oversight.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-moving, field-based role.
  • Available for frequent travel within the assigned territory, potentially 75% or more.
  • Comfortable working in clinical environments such as hospitals and laboratories.
  • Able to lift and move equipment, typically weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Current driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • May need to join on-call or after-hours support rotations.
  • CBET certification or similar is preferred.
  • Experience with equipment such as beds, stretchers, patient monitors, or diagnostic devices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking and IT systems used with medical devices is preferred.
