Executive Recruiter, Government and Public Sector
Lead executive searches for AlphaGov, AlphaHire’s government and public-sector division. Set search priorities, evaluate senior candidates, and guide clients through selection.

- Lead executive searches with AlphaGov and its clients.
- Run kickoff meetings to confirm role requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Create search plans and candidate profiles.
- Find, engage, and assess executive and senior leadership candidates.
- Conduct structured interviews and prepare candidate recommendations.
- Advise hiring managers, executives, boards, and selection committees.
- Arrange candidate presentations and interviews, and gather client feedback.
- Help with reference checks, offer discussions, and placement follow-through.
- Keep search records current and share progress, challenges, and next steps.
- Coordinate with recruiting and research colleagues when assigned.

- Experience leading searches for executives or senior leaders.
- Ability to manage a search from initial planning through candidate selection.
- Strong candidate evaluation, client communication, and project management skills.
- Confidence engaging senior professionals and handling confidential information.
- Ability to describe your contribution to successful searches.
- Public-sector search experience—such as with government agencies, municipalities, public utilities, or higher education—is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with boards, hiring committees, or multiple decision-makers is preferred.
- Retained search or search consulting experience is preferred.
- Experience recruiting department heads, chief executives, or other senior organizational leaders is preferred.
- Independent search consultants, search firm professionals, and experienced in-house recruiting leaders are welcome.
