Business Development Representative - Chicago Hybrid
Join Axiom as a Business Development Representative focused on creating qualified sales opportunities for a global alternative legal services provider. Research prospects, lead outbound outreach, and build pipeline in partnership with the sales team.

- Research target organizations, senior decision-makers, and potential legal service needs
- Reach prospects through thoughtful cold calls, tailored emails, and other outbound channels
- Identify business challenges and turn promising prospects into qualified sales meetings
- Collaborate with Account Executives on target accounts, prospecting plans, and follow-up
- Track prospect interactions, maintain accurate CRM data, and manage pipeline activity
- Pursue defined activity, meeting, and pipeline goals
- Use coaching and feedback to improve prospecting, discovery, communication, and objection handling
- Build substantive conversations with potential clients and create qualified opportunities for sales
- Contribute to Axiom’s ongoing business growth

- Applicants with 0–2+ years of professional sales or business development experience are welcome, though experience is not required
- Relevant internships, campus leadership, and other customer-facing experience will be considered
- Communicate confidently and turn initial cold outreach into meaningful conversations
- Comfortably make cold calls, write tailored outreach, and engage senior professionals
- Demonstrate interest in developing a long-term sales career
- Research effectively and use company or prospect insights to create relevant messaging
- Communicate clearly in writing and conversation, with strong listening skills
- Stay organized and disciplined with follow-up, pipeline management, and accurate CRM records
- Be receptive to coaching, resilient, and motivated by clear activity, meeting, and pipeline goals
- Work from Axiom’s downtown Chicago office Tuesday through Thursday
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
