Staff Product Operations Manager, Platform

At Samsara, lead platform readiness work that supports enterprise growth, retention, and annual recurring revenue. Build data and AI tools that help Product and Engineering teams make decisions.

Description

  • Identify platform readiness gaps that limit enterprise sales, expansion, and retention, and connect platform decisions to revenue.
  • Set priorities and track delivery with Billing, Org & Auth, and Security product teams, clearing blockers along the way.
  • Build and launch internal data and AI products for Product and Engineering teams.
  • Analyze product telemetry, support cases, customer feedback, feature requests, surveys, and product metadata.
  • Turn analyses into dependable, repeatable tools and workflows, supported by clear data definitions, quality checks, documentation, and feedback loops.
  • Present complex findings as actionable recommendations for R&D leaders.
  • Measure and report the revenue impact of platform investments.
  • Lead projects from scoping and data connections through launch, adoption and impact measurement, and iteration.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools, check their outputs, troubleshoot failures, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Promote and put Samsara’s cultural principles into practice across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience in product operations, data or product analytics, business operations, consulting, technical product management, or a related field.
  • Have a record of building and launching useful products for real users, such as internal tools, applications, dashboards, automations, data products, or repeatable analytical workflows.
  • Show how your work contributed to revenue or comparable business outcomes, such as recurring revenue, retention, expansion, or cost reduction.
  • Be able to structure and analyze messy or large datasets, validate findings, and explain analytical limitations.
  • Demonstrate strong product sense and customer judgment.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and speech, including explaining technical or analytical work to nontechnical partners and executives.
  • Bring a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort working with ambiguity.
  • Be based in the United States or Canada.
  • Relocation assistance is not available.
  • Preferred: experience at a B2B technology company or working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Preferred: experience in Product Operations, including defining and tracking roadmaps and feature requests and bringing customer perspectives into product discussions.
  • Preferred: familiarity with enterprise platform areas such as billing and monetization, identity, access and organization management, security, or compliance.
