Senior Research and Insights Specialist

Description

  • Lead the development and delivery of insights through primary market research, business intelligence, and reporting.
  • Bring strategic, market, and customer performance measures together to inform decisions across the organization.
  • Strengthen the Research and Insights function through client management and the delivery of research and analytics insights.
  • Partner with business units as a consultant on consumer insights and market intelligence.
  • Advise and influence stakeholders, relay requirements to internal teams, and explain complex topics to executives.
  • Support business planning, initiatives, budgets, and process coordination between the department and analytics teams.
  • Advise on the design and execution of primary research.
  • Assess market and economic indicators, competitive conditions, opportunities, risks, and potential effects.
  • Produce timely, relevant, actionable insights for teams across the organization.
  • Share expertise with colleagues on research methods and client engagement.
  • Build working relationships with clients in financial and business planning, performance management, marketing, and operations.
  • Lead discovery sessions with clients to clarify their information needs.
  • Work with EBI colleagues to make effective use of business intelligence data and research.
  • Recommend business planning priorities, budgets, departmental processes, policies, and procurement improvements.
  • Help the Manager, Research & Insights develop strategies and plans.
  • Contribute to enterprise initiatives that deepen customer understanding at BCLC.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field such as business, economics, statistics, or research.
  • Four to six years of progressively responsible experience in market or customer research.
  • A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Certified Market Research Planner (CMRP) designation or completed coursework through the Market Research Intelligence Association (MRIA) is an asset.
  • Experience in customer insights and analytical business planning is an asset.
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable insights.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience analyzing data with statistical tools such as Qualtrics.
  • Experience creating reporting solutions, including dashboards, portals, and report objects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience helping business stakeholders define business problems and business intelligence needs.
  • Understanding of analytical concepts and problem-solving methods.
  • Experience collecting business requirements for business intelligence applications.
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation and explain complex information clearly.
  • Experience with balanced scorecards or KPI measurement is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry and BCLC’s range of games is an asset.
  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
