Senior Collections Analyst

Lead debt recovery, delinquency analysis, and payment negotiations at Central dos Benefícios. Support billing, provider credentialing, and improvements to financial collection processes.

Description

  • Review outstanding-account portfolios with Accounts Receivable to identify overdue balances, recurring delinquency, discrepancies, and collection priorities.
  • Plan and carry out collection activities based on portfolio segmentation.
  • Conduct negotiations and renegotiations with delinquent customers through available communication channels.
  • Track payment agreements through settlement, identify breaches, and complete the required follow-up.
  • Request and track the issuance or reissuance of payment slips with the Finance team.
  • Draft and send collection notices, agreements, and other customer communications.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate their resolution with Finance, Billing, Customer Service, and other relevant teams.
  • Build and assess delinquency, recovery, agreement-compliance, and aging-based debt metrics.
  • Detect recurring drivers of delinquency and recommend improvements to collection controls, approaches, and workflows.
  • Deliver reports, analyses, and recommended actions to inform leadership decisions.
  • Maintain current records of interactions, negotiations, documents, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with billing and provider credentialing processes.
  • Work with Customer Service to resolve collection-related requests and provide occasional support for service workflows.
  • Use company-approved AI tools to improve analysis, information organization, recordkeeping, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Bring experience in collections, debt negotiation, and managing delinquent-account portfolios.
  • Understand accounts receivable processes and payment-agreement tracking.
  • Understand collection metrics and delinquency analysis.
  • Have intermediate Excel skills.
  • Have experience with financial management systems, CRM platforms, or collections software.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and conversation with varied audiences.
  • Demonstrate negotiation ability, active listening, and composure in conflict situations.
  • Work in an organized, collaborative, and solution-focused manner.
  • Analyze data effectively and turn findings into practical actions.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritize work independently, meet deadlines, and follow open items through completion.
  • Preferred: experience in corporate benefits, healthcare, insurance, or assistance services.
  • Preferred: experience collecting from business customers and managing recurring services.
