Senior AI Administrator, Microsoft 365 Copilot Platform

Lead administration of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Entra ID, and AI governance for Export Development Canada. Enable secure enterprise AI adoption in a hybrid Canadian work environment.

Description

  • Administer Microsoft 365 Copilot across the EDC tenant, covering licensing, provisioning, access, feature activation, and service configuration
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID, the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, and Copilot administrative settings
  • Oversee roles, permissions, policies, AI security, compliance, data protection, and governance controls
  • Deploy, configure, test, and support Copilot agents, connectors, plug-ins, and other AI capabilities
  • Resolve authentication, authorization, data access, integration, licensing, configuration, permissions, and performance issues
  • Provide daily administration and operational support for Copilot, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 services
  • Track platform health, service performance, usage, adoption metrics, and operational alerts
  • Carry out maintenance, configuration updates, patch verification, lifecycle activities, and environment cleanup
  • Create automation scripts, operational procedures, and monitoring solutions
  • Assist with testing, release validation, and deployment of new AI capabilities and service improvements
  • Act as the senior escalation contact for AI platform incidents, problems, and service requests
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective measures
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures
  • Coach colleagues and transfer knowledge on AI platform administration and troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related discipline
  • At least seven years of professional experience administering enterprise Microsoft 365 environments
  • Experience managing tenants, Entra ID, licensing, and security and compliance configurations
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft AI administrator role and its distinction from global administration
  • Knowledge of scoped policy assignment and access controls for Copilot and AI services
  • Practical experience with Microsoft 365 data architecture, Microsoft Graph, and Entra ID concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot configuration, deployment, and tenant-level controls
  • Advanced troubleshooting capability across Microsoft 365 workloads
  • Ability to establish a support model and lead adoption as an enterprise AI tooling owner
  • Strong analytical, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Power Platform administration experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of generative AI, LLM-based features, and responsible AI governance is an asset
  • English and French bilingualism is an asset
  • Legally able to work in Canada when applying, preferably as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Ability to satisfy required government security screening
