Remote Revenue Cycle Representative

Handle insurance and self-pay collections for Rosecrance behavioral health services in a remote revenue-cycle role. Manage claims, accounts receivable, compliance, and collection follow-up.

Description

  • Recover outstanding balances from commercial insurers and self-pay clients.
  • Identify and implement improvements to revenue-cycle workflows.
  • Administer client accounts, policy applications, and collection actions.
  • Work eight-hour shifts five days per week, with additional hours when required.
  • Oversee credit and collections functions for assigned client accounts.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records and track aging balances.
  • Stay informed about benefit plans, contract provisions, rates, billing forms, and coding requirements.
  • Verify claim status by phone, online portals, and other available channels.
  • Record and recommend appropriate account adjustments.
  • Follow up on balances that fall outside established collection standards.
  • Coordinate collection efforts with external agencies, including court appearances when necessary.
  • Apply credit policies consistently from admission through final account resolution.
  • Protect cardholder information through encryption, storage restrictions, access controls, security procedures, and PCI DSS compliance.
  • Complete required PCI training and participate in recurring security assessments.
  • Educate internal departments and customers about issues affecting revenue capture and cash flow.
  • Prepare records and reports that support financial administration.
  • Take part in Revenue Cycle Team meetings and initiatives.
  • Follow Rosecrance corporate compliance requirements, its Code of Conduct, mission, vision, values, and workplace expectations.
  • Provide responsive, high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of healthcare claims processing and collections experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency with computers in a Windows environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Sufficient writing ability to complete required documentation accurately within established deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Residence in Wisconsin, Illinois, or Iowa.
  • Successful completion of an occupational health screening.
  • Ability to work in a zero-tolerance, drug-free workplace that includes marijuana.
