Recruiting and Talent Specialist

Coordinate hiring at Empire Distributors, from reviewing applications and arranging interviews to guiding candidates through offers and their first six months.

Description

  • Review applications and résumés to assess applicants for local openings.
  • Introduce prospective candidates to the company’s employee value proposition.
  • Explain roles, responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and advancement prospects to candidates.
  • Share candidate profiles with hiring managers, highlighting how applicants fit the roles.
  • Complete surveys, assessments, and follow-up check-ins with new teammates during their first six months.
  • Keep hiring managers informed about candidate profiles, recruitment progress, start dates, and any issues.
  • Arrange and coordinate remote interviews across all locations.
  • Stay in contact with candidates throughout recruitment, explaining their status and next steps.
  • Prepare offer letters.
  • Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Requirements

  • An associate degree, one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with HR information systems and vendor platforms.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • No certificates, licenses, or registrations are required.
  • Ability to evaluate applicants through initial application and résumé reviews.
  • Ability to communicate the company’s employee value proposition clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to explain job duties, responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities to candidates.
  • Ability to present candidate profiles to hiring managers.
  • Ability to complete surveys, assessments, and check-ins with new teammates during their first six months.
  • Ability to update hiring managers on candidate profiles, hiring progress, start dates, and issues.
  • Ability to arrange and coordinate remote interviews across all locations.
  • Ability to maintain candidate engagement throughout the hiring process.
  • Ability to prepare offer letters.
