Premium Territory Sales Manager – United States Remote

Drive field sales for Altadis U.S.A.’s premium cigar portfolio across New England. Manage accounts, retail execution, events, prospecting, performance metrics, and territory spending.

Description

  • Develop and carry out the territory sales plan, including account targets and customer relationships
  • Increase territory revenue and market share
  • Meet KPIs for territory expansion, priority-brand distribution, and program delivery
  • Evaluate local markets, competitor activity, and account results to refine sales plans
  • Report regularly on territory results, sales calls, and market conditions
  • Pursue new accounts, distribution points, and inactive customers
  • Research and win new business through market analysis, industry resources, and direct outreach
  • Expand existing accounts by increasing the share of customer spending
  • Generate orders across the product range and maintain suitable inventory levels
  • Introduce new brands, sizes, and packaging formats to customers
  • Provide pricing and credit terms to customers who buy directly
  • Develop relationships with owners, buyers, and retail representatives
  • Implement merchandising requirements and brand standards in retail locations
  • Coordinate and deliver retailer and consumer events in stores
  • Arrange, participate in, and support partnership and sampling events
  • Create call plans and maintain a reliable account-visit cadence
  • Optimize travel routes to increase productive selling time
  • Record sales calls, orders, and account details in company systems
  • Control territory spending and expenses in accordance with policy

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in field sales or account management
  • Proven ability to manage KPIs and a territory budget while producing profitable growth
  • Strategic portfolio-selling capability across a diverse product range
  • Consistent execution of merchandising requirements and retail brand standards
  • Strong organization and time management, with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-development skills
  • Reliable work ethic, adaptability, and a practical approach to solving problems
  • Working knowledge of CRM or order-entry software
  • Availability to work in the market daily and travel overnight about 50% of the time
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Residence within the assigned territory or willingness to relocate there
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Background in premium cigars, tobacco, beverage alcohol, or another luxury or specialty retail category preferred
  • Experience working with independent retailers and wholesale distributors preferred
  • Comfort working in retail stores or other tobacco environments where smoke may be present
  • Ability to work in humid retail humidor conditions
  • Ability to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds
