Lead Data Engineer – New York (Remote)

Lead the data engineering function behind Adelaide’s AU advertising attention metric. Own the pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics integrations supporting its SaaS platform.

Description

  • Lead Adelaide’s data engineering team and take ownership of the pipelines powering its AU advertising metric
  • Design, optimize, and improve the reliability of Adelaide’s data pipelines and underlying infrastructure
  • Manage one Data Engineer
  • Organize and maintain data from internal and external sources across the SaaS analytics dashboard and connected platforms
  • Help maintain strong availability across the SaaS analytics dashboard and connected platforms
  • Build, deploy, and operate dependable data pipelines in partnership with data engineers and data scientists
  • Improve and maintain existing data pipelines and system integrations
  • Tune data stores for efficient, high-speed querying that supports technology and reporting requirements
  • Safeguard the quality, dependability, and security of the data infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Proficiency with Python, Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL, SQL, Spark, Scala, and Airflow
  • Practical experience using Pandas and Docker
  • Familiarity with AWS services including ECS, S3, Kinesis, Redshift, and EMR
  • Solid command of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience applying machine learning
  • Commitment to delivering dependable, high-quality data solutions
  • Background in ad tech, measurement, or verification is optional
  • Experience building high-throughput or near-real-time data pipelines is optional
  • Experience with Snowflake or Looker is optional
