Senior Contract Manager, SaaS and Cloud

Negotiate SaaS, cloud, and technology agreements supporting F5’s cybersecurity business. Build scalable contracting operations in partnership with legal, sales, finance, and security teams.

Description

  • Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, cloud, services, security, reseller, and procurement contracts.
  • Negotiate terms using approved playbooks, fallback positions, and escalation processes.
  • Review and negotiate customer and vendor contract forms.
  • Assess contractual and business risks, escalating unusual intellectual property, compliance, regulatory, or liability matters to legal counsel.
  • Coordinate deal execution with Sales, Customer Success, Procurement, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Information Security.
  • Manage incoming contract requests, set priorities around quarter-end deadlines, and support reliable turnaround times.
  • Guide internal teams on contract terms, policies, approval processes, and risk reduction.
  • Create and maintain contracting playbooks, templates, fallback clause libraries, and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage contract lifecycle work in the contract lifecycle management platform.
  • Monitor contracting metrics and share findings to improve operations.
  • Promote AI-assisted contract review, workflow automation, and self-service contracting.
  • Provide contracting training and create self-service materials.
  • Report to the Director of Commercial Legal for Cloud and SaaS.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of experience in contract management or commercial transactions.
  • Substantial experience at a fast-paced technology company.
  • Practical experience independently drafting, revising, and negotiating high-value commercial agreements from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise SaaS business models, licensing, and service-level agreements.
  • Working knowledge of data security schedules and privacy principles, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex legal topics clearly and concisely to non-legal colleagues.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and self-directed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree, a professional credential such as CPCM or CCCM, a paralegal certificate, or equivalent practical experience.
