Senior Remote Contract Specialist at CACI International

Support CACI’s federal acquisition work for FDIC IT and program services. Review acquisition documents, manage procurement risks, and coordinate stakeholders.

Description

  • Review acquisition packages for completeness, accuracy, compliance, and alignment with acquisition strategy in support of Contracting Officers.
  • Coordinate pre-award and prerequisite support across the acquisition section, DIT team, and other client groups.
  • Help distribute, prioritize, track, and manage the acquisition portfolio workload.
  • Monitor acquisition milestones, risks, dependencies, and upcoming portfolio actions.
  • Work with Contracting Officers, policy teams, program offices, clients, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Support TEP planning, coordination, documentation, training, and compliance.
  • Draft, review, and refine acquisition plans, solicitations, statements of work, performance work statements, evaluation plans, negotiation memoranda, and award documents.
  • Assess requirements and acquisition strategies for risks, gaps, ambiguities, competition, performance, and pricing opportunities.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of acquisition documentation.
  • Coordinate responses to policy, legal, oversight, and management inquiries.
  • Create and maintain acquisition schedules, milestone trackers, dashboards, and management briefings.
  • Identify and escalate acquisition risks such as schedule delays, funding issues, unstable requirements, data gaps, and stakeholder dependencies.
  • Facilitate collaboration among program, technical, budget, finance, legal, policy, and contracting teams.
  • Support market research, industry engagement, and acquisition approaches for complex or high-value IT requirements.
  • Assist with post-award transitions, contract kickoff meetings, transition planning, and coordination between acquisition and technical teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, lessons learned, templates, tools, and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor and guide acquisition staff and stakeholders, sharing relevant knowledge.
  • Carry out other assigned acquisition support duties and special projects.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of experience as a Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer in the federal government or military, or equivalent contractor experience performing federal acquisition functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust following a background investigation.
  • Experience in both FAR and non-FAR acquisition environments.
  • DAWIA Level II certification in Contracting or the current equivalent certification.
