HR Specialist, Spain (Hybrid)

Advise managers and employees on employee relations, Spanish employment law, and core HR processes across Spain and Portugal. Collaborate with regional stakeholders from ERM’s Madrid or Barcelona offices.

Description

  • Advise managers and employees proactively across Spain and Portugal.
  • Handle employee relations cases involving performance, conduct, grievances, absence, flexible working, and workplace investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment legislation and company policies.
  • Contribute to restructurings, consultations, organisational change, and other workforce initiatives.
  • Help managers resolve people challenges and strengthen their leadership capabilities.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and fair, consistent people practices.
  • Coordinate with regional HR, Legal, and business stakeholders on complex employee matters.
  • Support performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent planning, and employee engagement processes.
  • Track legislative changes and explain their implications for the business.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or Employee Relations professional.
  • Strong practical understanding of Spanish employment law.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese employment law is strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations cases and advising managers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a regional HR team.
  • Fluent Spanish and English communication skills.
  • Portuguese language skills are advantageous.
