Finance Assistant - Kobalt Music - London Hybrid

Description

  • Process UK and US invoices in NetSuite
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and confirm supporting documentation and approvals
  • Assist with supplier payment runs, currently scheduled twice each week
  • Process payments through Kyriba
  • Prepare and administer payments to Kobalt clients
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies
  • Assist with bank and account reconciliations
  • Process employee expense claims
  • Prepare purchase ledger reports and maintain accurate financial records
  • Record financial data in internal systems, including the royalties database
  • Handle invoice, supplier, and payment queries through to appropriate resolution
  • Apply Finance processes, procedures, and controls consistently
  • Assist the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects
  • Recommend ways to simplify processes, improve accuracy, and increase Finance efficiency

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a comparable environment is preferred
  • Understanding of purchase ledger or other transactional Finance processes is preferred
  • Comfort working with numerical and financial data, combined with strong attention to detail, is preferred
  • Good Excel capability and confidence learning new financial systems are preferred
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills are preferred
  • Clear communication and effective collaboration skills are preferred
  • A proactive approach to resolving queries and discrepancies is preferred
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced Finance environment is preferred
  • Interest in building a career in Finance and Accounting is preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable accounting platform is an advantage
  • Experience with Kyriba or another Treasury management system is an advantage
  • Experience processing supplier or client payments is an advantage
  • Experience conducting supplier statement or bank reconciliations is an advantage
  • Experience handling multi-currency payments or working in an international Finance environment is an advantage
  • Familiarity with digital Finance, automation, or expense-management tools is an advantage
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom is required
  • A full DBS check will be conducted after offer acceptance
