Event Manager – Awards Programmes, Hybrid UK

Lead awards programme delivery for Mark Allen Group’s specialist media business. Coordinate suppliers, budgets, judging, guest management and on-site events.

Description

  • Own event schedules from initial planning through on-site delivery and post-event reviews
  • Track supplier expenditure, process invoices and help maintain event budget control
  • Coordinate venues, suppliers, audiovisual services, catering, logistics, health and safety, and other operational requirements
  • Support event executives with administration, delegate communications and stakeholder liaison
  • Coach and support a team member through objectives, feedback and regular one-to-one meetings
  • Work with marketing teams on digital and printed event branding
  • Manage awards programmes from entries and judging through delegate bookings and guest list preparation
  • Administer the events platform website, entry process and booking system
  • Attend events as needed and adapt working hours around delivery requirements
  • Anticipate issues, resolve problems and deliver polished, professional awards events

Requirements

  • Experience managing events, preferably across a range of business-to-business formats
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented working style
  • Ability to handle multiple events, deadlines and changing priorities
  • Strong coordination and project management capability
  • Experience supporting event budgets, tracking expenditure, monitoring supplier costs and keeping accurate records
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with clients, suppliers, delegates and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel for events
  • Flexibility to work varied hours when event delivery requires it
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to work without visa sponsorship
  • Experience with awards programmes or similar events is desirable
  • Previous line management, mentoring or direct-report development experience is desirable
