VP Fund Banking Relationship Manager (New York, Remote)
Lead fund finance origination and relationship management for private equity, venture capital, and emerging manager clients at Grasshopper Bank. Structure, underwrite, negotiate, and close complex fund finance loans while expanding client relationships.

- Build a new business portfolio through relationships across the private equity, venture capital, and emerging manager communities
- Drive deposit and loan growth by negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating complex loan closings
- Implement business development strategies for private equity, venture capital, and emerging manager clients
- Structure and position loans across the complete Fund Finance product suite
- Develop referral-source and target-fund relationships to promote Fund Banking products and services
- Create and sustain a strong pipeline of lending opportunities
- Track business development, deal activity, and investor calls in Salesforce and other CRM systems
- Lead initial sales and engagement conversations with prospective clients
- Collect loan-request information and guide prospects through due diligence and underwriting alongside a credit associate
- Assess financial condition and conduct preliminary risk reviews using bank credit policies and current economic and industry conditions
- Prepare financing recommendations for the Credit Committee and negotiate loan terms and conditions
- Manage approved-loan closings and confirm compliance with loan agreements, client requirements, and bank lending policies
- Become the primary Relationship Manager after closing and oversee ongoing client relationship plans
- Collaborate with loan operations, client services, and internal partners to deliver a client-first experience
- Escalate product and service concerns to senior management
- Stay current on Fund Banking industry developments, trends, and competitive activity
- Represent the bank at community and industry events to strengthen its profile and generate new business
- Support the bank’s efforts to establish and sustain its market position
आवश्यकताएँ
- Five to ten years of experience in Fund Finance, including origination, negotiation, underwriting, and loan closing coordination
- Significant experience managing relationships with high-value clients
- Proficiency in financial statement and tax return analysis
- Thorough knowledge of fund documentation
- Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot for partner due diligence, document review, analysis, and drafting, with the judgment to verify outputs
- Ability to apply AI responsibly in a regulated setting by protecting customer data and addressing privacy and model risk
- Ability to evaluate how fintech partners apply AI to onboarding, fraud prevention, and customer service
- Strong knowledge of treasury management services, lending processes, policies, and products used by Fund Banking clients
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal banking regulations, preferably including OCC experience
- Familiarity with bank operational policies
- Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a four-year college or university
- Outstanding analytical ability
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
