Senior Analytics Engineer (dbt and GCP) – Remote
Senior Analytics Engineer supporting a financial institution by building reliable data pipelines, transformation models, and dashboards. The role uses Google Cloud, dbt, BigQuery, Airflow, Looker, SQL, and Python.

- Build the data transformation and consumption layer for a financial institution in Google Cloud.
- Move data from source systems to dashboards while balancing quality, performance, and cost.
- Create, test, and document transformation models with dbt.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and design dimensional and relational models in BigQuery.
- Track BigQuery performance and improve processing efficiency and cost control.
- Build, maintain, and orchestrate data pipelines with Airflow.
- Create Looker dashboards and semantic models for data consumption.
- Work with business stakeholders to clarify needs and turn them into data solutions.
- Investigate root causes and recommend solutions informed by data.
- Document and tag data assets in support of sound governance practices.
- Automate workflows and conduct exploratory analysis using Python.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Substantial experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or in a comparable position.
- Advanced SQL capability, including query tuning and dimensional and relational data modeling.
- Advanced dbt experience developing, testing, and documenting transformation pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and orchestrating complex Airflow pipelines.
- Deep BigQuery knowledge, including performance tuning, cost management, and advanced platform capabilities.
- Familiarity with additional GCP data services, including Google Cloud Storage.
- Proficiency creating dashboards with the Looker Platform.
- Working knowledge of Python for automation, custom pipelines, or exploratory analysis.
- Familiarity with product metrics such as AARRR, marketing metrics such as LTV and CAC, or financial metrics.
- Experience applying data governance practices, including asset documentation and tagging.
- A consultative working style and confidence collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to convert business requirements into practical data solutions.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, particularly in diagnosing underlying problems.
- Well-developed documentation and organizational skills for managing deliverables.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Practical expertise with dbt, BigQuery, Airflow, and the Looker Platform.
