Remote PFL Claims Specialist
Lincoln Financial is hiring a remote Paid Family Leave (PFL) claims specialist to assess Short Term Disability claims. The role involves reviewing medical records, calculating benefit payments, and deciding claim outcomes.

- Interview claimants at the start of a claim and throughout the process.
- Gather and assess medical records.
- Make prompt, ethical decisions on claims.
- Contact claimants, employers, and medical professionals by phone and email to collect information for Short Term Disability claims.
- Work with case managers, nurse case managers, and consulting physicians to determine claim outcomes.
- Assess complex medical records to set approval durations and plan follow-up actions.
- Calculate payments accurately in line with company and state guidelines.
- Deliver customer service and identify customer needs and opportunities.
आवश्यकताएँ
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of experience in claims, leave administration, or customer service.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
- Ability to balance competing priorities while handling a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls.
- Experience in disability or absence management is preferred.
- Strong math skills for calculating payments are preferred.
